Thanks guys me too.

Gonna order the two gaskets for the throttle body that I never replaced when doing conversion. :/ Me and Shaun reckons that's where my air leak could be.

Sounds like the problem I had with mine before, could drive it for ever if started from cold but as soon as it was turned of or stalled it wouldn't start again until it cooled down.

I had to get a new wiring harness for mine which cured it.

Haha,Ash has a couple of crank and lambda sensors. Will have to have a play.

I could do this all the easy way but cba cutting wiring back up to flash codes.

Who'd have a XE eh? Sorted them oil leaks out Kyle?

Mine didn't stock it but they're nice and ordered it in from Germany

took a month to come!

Update : 10.09.2012

As today was my day off I set about doing a few bits to car that were getting on my nerves. One being the exhaust as it was blowing badly underneath and sounded rubbish when putting foot down. So took it to my dad's mate's garage and got it on the ramps.

Straight away we could hear and feel the air coming out. Was coming from the centre where my manifold fixed onto the middle section. Pulled it back together and clamped it all down and put some paste on to help. Fired it up and sounds a different car now. When putting foot down its quite raspy lol.

That was that done then wanted to try and sort this air leak out that's been bugging me a while. Asking about on here about the throttle body gaskets and apparently they don't stock 'em anymore so set about making some myself. Went to local Motorspares and got two A4 sheets of gasket paper.

And then made a start on removing the old ones. Strutbrace off

Inlet pipe off

Ecotec pipe off

Ecotec adapter off

Top of throttle body off

Bottom one off

Two very worn and perished gaskets,should have replaced them when engine was out.

Drew round both of them and cut them out

Both together done

Bottom gasket on

Top gasket on

Everything back on

All back together and then turned it over. Idles alot better tbh but need to go out in yet to see if the revs drop when dipping clutch etc. Will let you all know.

Also if anyone wants me to make you any of these for free i'll happily send you some? Aka Reece?

Here's a spare I made,this one is for the bottom gasket. The top one is more square.

Dan you do have a gasket on the ecotec adapter don't you?

And you change the sensor's i gave ya?
