Its is mate yes someone has tried to touch it up with a cream touch up pen lol. The spoiler is perfect but the paintwork in the actual boot is in really crap condition, looks like Stevie Wonder has been let lose with the spray gun

The boot will be semi-smoothed and resprayed before pvs. Just got to save a bit extra cash first

Cheers peeps

As mentioned before I've been planning on semi-smoothing my boot for pvs. but because ive not started my new job yet I'm a bit low on funds at the moment. So I've decided to have a go at doing it myself

The first thing I did was to remove the wiper and motor ready. I put a grommet on it to stop the rain getting in the boot

Before I started work on the boot I installed a boot popper so I could still get the boot open I used the rear wiper wiring so I didnt have to mess about with putting wires under carpet etc. Got it off super novas and it works great!

Stripped at the stuff off the boot and put all the dodgey bits right. The reason for all the red is because the cars has a new boot at some point

Some nasty rust behind the number plate, got the dremel on it but still needs more work

Decided to use fibreglass p40 instead of welding, mainly because I havent got a clue how to First layer on!

And the put a second layer on. Heres how I've left it today!

Really pleased with how its going so far Carrying on with it tommorrow so I'll update then

just a little bit of advice IMO mate
fibreglas will crack being that thick mate, i wud just remove it and get sum just weld a metal plate in for you, then just a fine layer of fibreglass then filler on top!

What he said..

As soon as u slam the boot it will crack...Would cost about £20 for someone todo it...Or make the template up ur self and drive to a garage and get someone to quickly Weld it on for u...then u do the rest of the work
