I never said it didnt, I said Id be majorly disappointed as everything Ive seen him do in the past (and its a lot) hasnt invovled that sort of thing. All he has done tonight is (probably) some camera trickery as you said then some pure BS that (even though he said its mathematically correct), is not mathematically possible.
I'm honestly disapointed in Derren... That was poor. Not like the 'system' in the fact the 'big reveal' actually made sense and was a twist... this just required you to believe in some bullshit mumbo jumbo. I was waiting for the twist at the end where he'd actually reveal something to make me believe.

If I was Derren
- Throughout previous blog posts / adverts / other media, I would of been hiding 49 balls or combinations of balls with other numbers obscured (like the lamp post)...
- I'd of used the camera trickery like I described.... but obv not told anyone I used camera trickery.
- I would've done a show maybe like he did about being influenced into thinking of a number etc.
- Then I'd of said, I need to convince a nation to think of the same numbers at the same time to influence it all.
- Then I'd of said... but how do you convince a nation to believe in a set of 6 numbers? and then I'd of shown them the viral crap from before, pointing out the hidden 6 numbers (in reality he could've pointed out any of the 49! but you'll never notice the other 43) and because he'd be showing you in hindsight afterwards, you would believe 'oh shit, the numbers were there all along'...
The fact he at the end claimed he broke in and swapped the balls is insanity! not only is that highly illegal and probably unlikely to definately work, but you'd probably find each set of balls is kept in different locations and checked before each draw (like a casino is checked for weight of dice)....

Even that whole palava was done badly on Derren's show... chances are, with a group of people scribbingly etc, you could by chance probably get 1 ball, maybe by luck get 3... (perhaps this group did this more often than the 2 attempts we saw and thus would've had more failed attempts!) - but get 6 this way? no chance.

100% agree with both of those points.
I liked the guy before now, some of his stuff has been next to amazing, but that was just utter bollocks and IMO way beneath where he is in his career. Id of expected that from some new up and coming illusionist.

Yeah but the problem with your point is that syndicates DONT do it how Derren said. They often agree on a certain number of set lines and thats it.
He had them work out the average for ONE line.
So that point you make is totally invalid in this case.

Youve obviously not understood how he (even though it was bollocks) has tried to explain how its done.
In this situation, according to Derren, they would both come up with the same winning numbers.
They find the winning numbers, not the winning numbers find what they picked.
