Peter Prendiville

Peter Townshend
Malcolm Ford
Peter McLaughlin
Paul Diggett
James Warmer
Lord Tonypandy
In fact I'm bored of pasting them now, go here - http://labour25.com/
That's assuming you want a reasonable debate to deteriorate in to finding as many names of pedos from each side as you can.

I fear this debate is lacking in smoking gun proof of either side being right in the form of an amateur YouTube video

Regarding the proposed counter-extremism bill, the BBC has quoted David Cameron as saying:
"For too long, we have been a passively tolerant society, saying to our citizens 'as long as you obey the law, we will leave you alone',
What do people on here think of this?

Isn't that a trimmed quote regarding a new law on extremism?

I don't entirely disagree with this, because counter-terrorism is clearly hindered by the restriction on pro-active investigation. That goes without saying, you'd find more out if you looked in more places, more often and with less cause. Whether you want to protect your civil liberty is another matter.
However this next bit -
quote: It's often meant we have stood neutral between different values. And that's helped foster a narrative of extremism and grievance.
I completely disagree with. Standing neutral doesn't foster anything. Bombing the fuck out of things and blaming all Muslims for all evil on the other hand, well that's going to piss a few of them off.
I do think the government are in a difficult position because they'll be scrutinised for failing or scrutinised for trying, and ultimately what is the solution? By its very nature you need to be proactive in your approach, the information is not going to fall to you unless you look. But that's a whole can of worms in itself.
I do think they're prepping the wider population for what is to come and to a certain extent I can see the wider population going for it. I think the general mood is that people would accept less privacy if the upside is a lower likelihood of being killed in a terrorist attack.
Although it does all miss the point. Ultimately if you don't want targetting by terrorists, don't bomb their town.

Emergency budget announced while Labour are in a mess and unable to give a reply.
Increasing the inheritance allowance so their Roch friends don't get punished, while cutting benefits. Thank God I'm in work

Sounds about right, a non-tory having to sell plants, seems its all the people with non-professional jobs that get annoyed about this.
Is he/she upset because they lost some benefits or something?

First one, fair enough.
Second one, get to fuck bipolar is another term for a person who has tantrums when they don't get their own way. Usually put in the same bracket as people who say they have dyslexia or fibromyalgea (sp).

Nic Barnes is bipolar and you don't see him claiming benefits for it.
