Had an interested week starting with a blowout on the M69 Motorway on the way to work in the Fabia. Doh!

And to make matters worse I didn't have a spare wheel with me.

Then last night I opened the bonnet to top up the washer fluid to find a little surprise in my engine bay

A big Fuckoff Rat!!!!

I wondered why the car had been smelling of dead mouse in the mornings
When I moved it, I found its insides had gone and there were maggots everywhere..... lovely.

UPDATE:

28th December 2007

The RAW Egg is back in action.... sort of.

After nearly 6 months we went to collect th Van from her lockup (Owner had been too busy with other jobs to work on her)

Yep, Engines still there

On the trailer we go

And off to her new home for one week to have some "bits & bobs" sorted then she's coming back to join my Corsa in the barn.... Then its the final push to get her finished

The Van.

I've decided to bite the bullet and do mine to a higher spec than I first budgeted for. Which means it'll cost more £££ and therefore take more time On the plus side i've just sold my interior so look out for a rollcage coming my way soon....

Small update to my Fabia and mates Scooby.

Decided to start doing some sound deadening today in the boot and tailgate of both cars as we are both planning installs in the near future.

This is where we got to:

Fabia Before

And with some Dynamat applied

And the Scooby

More to follow soon.

You'd be scared by the revs, you'd reach 4000 and want to shift up a gear

Don't get me wrong, the engine we both have (PD130) is a great engine!!!..... for a diesel. Its just theres a lot of weight over the front end, its makes the wrong noise and worst of all has no bl00dy rev's!!! meaning you have to be on the ball to keep it within the torque band when driving quickly. Its so frustrating sometimes.

For fuel economy though which to be honest is 95% of reason why I brought it

Sorry no more Corsa work at the moment But a little bit on the Fabia

The brakes died so it was time to upgrade all round.

Metal on Metal.... Nice!

Some new EBC discs and pads

Front

Rear

Front

Rear

#

All fitted and I can now actually stop

Was going to go for the 312mm TT front upgrade but couldn't get hold of the calipers in time so will make do with the 288mm.

Also this week i've had my local bodyshop colour code the handles.
