Decided not to go any further at the minute as i dont have anymore time before i go away in the early hours of thursday morning and still have a few customers cars to finish.

So the car as it stands

all pipes, cables, wiring etc disconnected
just the drive shafts gearlinkage and prop shaft/housing to come away which i will do when i get back in a week

gear linkage

surprisingly clean

some good news though,
I painted a wing from the scrap pile the colour the car will be
in direct sunlight (ignore the metalic flakes, i painted it at the same time as a silver car lol)

facing from the sun

in the shade

love the colour

Wow that's a flip of the colour.

Why is that wing in the scrap pile? Looks perfectly fine?

Have fun skiing.

Thought you meant tuning lol.
I'm not really a fan of painted blocks. There isn't really much of a block on the air cooled either so clean is good enough for me.

I was looking at that wing all day today from different angles and in different lights.
Gonna Double lacquer it so it's got some depth.

Double lacquering is good but long process. Get it nice shit free on first finish. 1200 down and re do it.

What lacquer you putting on it?

Yep certainly is. I always buzz down with 800 then grey scotch. Quicker that way.
I use standox easy clear.
I did contemplate some ceramic lacquer but cba
