John Q - 7/10

I wasn't sure on a couple of the performances when the film started, mainly James Woods as the surgeon and the overall feel of the film, but as it went on it just got better. The opening scene is explained just over halfway through, until this point it seemed a bit random or there as a metaphor. I was a bit tense at the end. Usual quality performances from Denzel and Duvall.

Gangster Squad 9/10. Would have preferred it to be longer but still a great film.

It is an acquired humour. Don't bother going to see the second one if you think the first was too stupid. lol

about time - 2/10

Switched it off half way through, I found the film very boring and particularly didn't like the kids ginger hair.

Star Trek Into Darkness - 6/10

Not too sure what to think about this one. On the one hand they have gone in a new direction with the Khan character and flip reversed some of STII's other elements too. I thought the storyline was pretty weak however. Still, nice set up for more.

Lone Survivor - 7/10 - Typical American Gung-ho bollocks with a bit of a Black Hawk Down vibe to it, action scenes where great!

The Wolverine 4/10. That score is based off the first hour as thats all I watched. Take a lot for me to turn off a film but it was pretty easy with this one. Absolute toss.

We're the millers 7.5/10, pretty funny and Jennifer Aniston is a stripper so thats nice. I just cant stand that kid with the eyebrows who was on that crap school of comedy thing a few years back.

Elysium - 6.5/10, didnt think the effects made up for the weak storyline although they were stunning.

I'm not a star trek purist, not fussed about any links to the originals, and I quite enjoyed it, probably 7.5/8 out of 10. Looked lovely, good action.

Taken 2 7/10

Decent enough, but very rushed. A couple of scenes didn't blend in properly which made for very strange viewing.
