Anchorman 2 - 4.5/10
Gave it an extra half because the cameos in the battle scene made me laugh. More due to seeing some unexpected faces popping up rather than their character.

The Internship - 7/10, really enjoyed it. Not a great story and wasn't laugh a minute but well worth a watch.

The Purge - 6.5/10

Scary vision. A lot better than I was expecting, I think it would have been better if they had showed more of what goes on in the city instead of just focusing on the one family. I would have also like to have seen a more fitting end to the killer/s.

Starred Up 8/10
Void of a proper introduction to Eric or his backstory but still a fantastic film. Pretty brutal in places too.

Doomsday 4/10

Captain America: The Winter Soldier 8/10 much better than the first, also better than the latest Thor movie, probably one of the best Marvel films so far.

We Need To Talk About Kevin - 7/10

I recorded this off Sky quite a few months ago and I was always waiting for the right moment to watch it given the films theme and contents. Channel 4 recently showed a documentary about psychopaths and this film was featured in it. Experts deemed the performance to be very like that of a real psychopath and it made me even more reluctant to watch it. I finally watched it last night and initially thought it was a bit miss jointed and wondered if I had missed some of it. The film is shown out of order with flash back and current intermixed. From a film making point of view it didn't look as good as films like The Fighter or American History X which would have added to the films bleak storyline, and playing up beat music like Buddy Holly further added to the confusion (I guess this was deliberate) Tilda Swinton's despair was portrayed very well and although Kevin's psychopathic tendencies for the most part are just mental, I remained tense throughout sensing something was going to happen. The climax, although you never see it on screen is quite powerful.

Captian America: Winter Soldier Needed a huge piss/10


Couldn't sit still or concentrate properly so wasn't going to give it a big score as it was a bit predictable & silly in places and Robert Redford was fucking diabolical in it. But I think I did enjoy it. I will re watch on BD release and score it properly.
