Also might be worth trying some out, seeing what size you need and then getting a nearly new one on ebay etc. Leisure Lakes also do preowned ones.

Do you just need a basic jobby or a decent spec one?

A Halfrauds one will probs do the job then tbh. If its just for that then no point spending much.

Still might be worth getting a 2nd hand one too.

What happens if someone is having a go down there, and is slow, and some banzai pro elite fucker comes hooning down behind you??!!

Everyone tends to give people enough time to get well ahead at the top before starting off.

Plus thats a pritty tricky run, you woudn't want to do it anything other than flat out else you wouldn't make the gaps.

There are red runs for beginners.

My mountain bike is a halfords jobbie, absolutely nothing gone wrong with it at all to be fair.

Few bent wheels, but they can be replaced

Edit: Probably done around 900 miles on it.

Be careful. Horse spent the first 3 mins of the last hack doing shoulder in to keep an eye on me when I rode out on the bike with GF on one of the horses

I rode out with it last weekend and it followed me at every pace lol was great fun. That was on an old road bike so my balls got destroyed hence wanting a mountain bike lol

Also at seeing the phrase 'shoulder in' being used on corsasport!

58cm at least, i am 6ft3 and I got a 61cm which was perfect.

If I was you i'd pop to a local Specialized/Trek/Giant dealer and ask for a opinion as getting the wrong size road bike could do your back some damage.

Is this bike any good??? I'm not a hard core cycler like most on here but it'll be used for things like canal rides and the odd bit of off road paths.
