seem to have a huge cult following these days. great vehicle to have, and the prices are starting to go up. open a door and throw my bike in the back, can get changed inside etc. brilliant.

After using my mates gear stick extension decided it was a good thing so ordered my own up in black so it matches better inside the van. Thinking about a pool ball gear knob also.

Took the bike for a trip on a local trail. So good to ride.

Fancying a pool ball gear knob. Don't know wether to get a coloured one or just an 8 ball though. Tough decision.

And fitted. It's pretty good as it's obviously weighted compared to the original.

mate of mine is selling some genuine r32 alloys in a blue ish colour. wants £300 for them. im going to try them on the van and see what they look like. not exactly convinced as coloured wheels is what i was doing in 2005. may suit the van though.

been to busfest will upload some pics shortly. great weekend.

borrowed a drive away awning off a mate who also has a t4. meant we had cooking space and a section for my mate to sleep in.

my airbed set up in the back of the van. slept quite well actually. wasn't as cold as i thought it would be.

got a cup holder/centre console thing

it fits in there

got a carpet floor mat as well to try and make it feel a bit less like a van floor.

comes in very hand actually. also has storage underneath the cup holder bit as its a hinged lid.

back in carlisle after its 500 mile weekend. really good to drive on long distances.

Got a barn door threshold cover, the black bit, which means when I carpet the back out properly and do the floor it will tidy it up better. Not fitted properly in that pic.

Also discovered the turbo noise it has is actually a common problem with the inlet hose expanding and becoming loose, so that's something I'm hopefully going to try and fix today.

thats the issue with the inlet hose to the turbo. its basically slack where it attaches to the compressor allowing air to escape/get sucked in. if the pipe wasn't bolted to the dipstick tube, it would just completely fall off as thats all that was holding it in roughly the right place.

pipes off

pipe back on after being heated up with boiling water and using a hose clip to shrink it back down to size, fitted back on featuring the hose clip. now nice and tight and hopefully leak free.

although it was a small job and didn't really take me long, i kinda enjoyed messing around and getting dirty hands again........

looking for an intercooler and larger nozzles now for the van as I've got a good price on a re-map.

off to fort william in the morning, definitely a better vehicle for the journeys and carrying bikes and people than the bmw was. also way way better on fuel even with a leaky pipe!

also had a go at fixing the door switches for the interior light as they have never worked as long as I've owned the van. managed to sort the passenger one, drivers one I've got the buzzer for leaving the headlights on working but can't get the interior light to come on. must be the wire itself as I've swapped pins on the switch and the buzzer works fine either way. take floor mat out and investigate the wire one day when i get chance.

not a bad hour of fixing minor stuff though.

liking that style wheel at the moment
