i checked the other night (as I was worried they'd got hold of the plans that were refused) and its as per the stamped/approved plans  I little narrower infact.
We had some trouble getting it through planning though... it took many many months and council meetings. At one point we had a council meeting in our back garden

That is so amazing, wish I could have a garage that tall/size as even the double garage we have at home is too small to work on a car in with enough space.

If you don't need a ramp for car storage, how about a scissor lift that's sunk into the floor in the middle of the room?

too much hassle to dig up the steel re-inforced floor.
We'll get a ramp.
Offset ramps woulf be staggerd length ways and have the post in the centre of the garge in line with the other

I reckon option 3 sounds best. If you aren't storing 3/4 cars full time then 2 stands is over kill plus if you have one stand that you can move it'll give you plenty of options to work and store at the same time imo.

do a lot of the work on the car ourselves - all routine/maint etc etc.
WP map and do the heavy shit.
The ramp i'm looking at now is a fixed 2 post (cheap!) over the moveable 4 post.
The 4 post doesnt come with jacking bars to would be a C to work on the car with wheels off

popped the RRS in now that the roof is up (ready for slates).
The 20cm width we've lost due to boundry wall etc will affect it, but no biggie.
The car is quite tight to the side (i can walk up the side so not that tight!) so there is room enough for 2 RRS's at least but not ideal.
Car widths:
The RRS is 1932 + wing mirrors so say 1970mm TOTAL
Skyline is 1755mm but we've added wide rear so say 1810mm
Impeza is 1740mm but its VERY wide now, so 1810mm
911 is tiny 1650mm
So there is space to have them side by side, but not much working room :S
Might by an option to plop the trailer in (if it fits length ways - no idea how long it is!) and 2 cars ona ramp (1 over, 1 under)

As said on FB it's actually bigger than I thought it was going by the pics with nothing in it, you really see how big it is if you compare an average sized person to the RR then compare that to the size of the door.

aye, I'm sure the RR is as tall as me and I'm 6'2"
Basing that on the fact that the roof doesnt get washed as I cant reach without steps!

just checked...
its 1817mm according to some site. So not far off my height 50/60mm or so.
We'd be able to get the RRS on a lift at full 1.8m height (if the RRS was lowerd into access mode) (head height is 3.6m)

Personally I think one big 4 poster in the middle (or a 2) with plenty of space around the outside for units and what not, maybe even offest the ramp to one side a touch so you have just enough room to get one car on the ramp and up, one car underneath and a smaller one tucked down the side.

The door is 4.5m or 4.6m wide. 2.4m high.

christ that is big my dads looks tiny in comparison
has rows of units both sides, staircase at the back, trailer storage and can get 1 car in that, and has an upstairs room that you could live in.
