What's the other wheels he's after? Like these:
Will look gorgeous once completely finished (lower slats in front bumper etc), not sure on the mirrors either tbh. Bet he's made up with himself when he looks back at the start of the project :lo:

Yeah those would be them, or very similar. No doubt he'll have a few sets for various occasions and tyre choices.
Will be at UD's 2012 Hamish and I are heading down with the Quattro.

Right a bit of an overdue update.
Hamish has been working through the final list of jobs to get the car ready for its first show in March.
The oil cooler has been finished up to his drawings
Throttle body has been to JP at JNL racing to get a little bigger!
Audi rings mached from billet alloy!
He then made a centre console for the switches:
Finally to the wheels. He has had the centres machined off as didn't like them. Then had them powder coated white. They do have the look of the original works Speedlines. He then tried to get a set of Toyo R888's but there is no stock of the size he was after so ended up with some Kumho V70A's hopefully they will be ok!
To get them to clear the porsche brakes and to fill the arches he needed some 20mm spacers, which brings the et to -11.
Apologies for the camera its knackered! Final list is down to under 30 lines now so the end is in sight!

That looks a million times better with those wheels and tyres (and offset), amazing! Once the slats etc are on it'll be even better.

i think the grills go back on once the oil cooler is fitted?

 if only thing wrong is lack of grills he's doing something right! They fit into the bumper just not fitted yet, the main grill around the lights also isn't fitted but will be as the alloy Audi rings fit to that grill.

Hamish has been pushing on with the final jobs:
Centre console sorted with switches, electrical cut off, fire extinguisher pull, starter button and fuses.
External cut off and extinguisher pull also done:
New steering arms made with rose jointed ends:
Finally rear oil cooler mounted, just needs a strip of rubber up it:
All looking good for the show. He's picking up a load of bits that have been painted matt black this week, grills etc. So they will be to fit back on and it will be looking almost complete!

Your ignition and your stalks on wheel for wipers / lights etc.
Everything is done from panel, as in all top row on then hit start for it to fire up!
