Very clean and detailed work, nicely done

didn't use a sandwich plate no. Got a picture of the senders a page or two back.

Wiring wasn't too hard. One wire from each gauge to it's sender. 2 wires from each gauge to ground. 2 wires from each gauge to an ignition live (used thin black wire off the ignition barrel) 1 wire per gauge to a sidelight live for the dimmer.

It was £35 mate. Quite expensive but worth it.

Dalejones: they are off of eBay by autogauges are £25 each. Pillar pod is normally £30 aswell.

Tried to ring you the other night, got my gauges sorted as I'm sure you've noticed. Did trial and error on the barrel wiring until I found the right one to go off, same with the dimmer switch.

Just got to find a place to put the catch tank, might remove the front half of the battery tray.

It's my birthday today so progress has been slow this weekend.

Will be getting the exhaust done tomorrow though.

There is a grommet where a loom goes through behind your pedals, I made a small hole in the grommet and fed the 2 wires through there.

Update

Got the exhaust fitted / welded tonight.

Dead pleased with how it sits, right up inside the tunnel. It's one piece from the manifold to the rear beam so no chance of annoying leaks!

Update

This car will not be going down the euro route.

Got my new spark plug cover, a nice metal one

also fitted the radiator and fan and plumbed it all in, got the arch liners fitted, fitted the brake servo vacuum pipe, fitted my lower throttle body gasket, removed half of the battery tray mount and found the location for my oil catch tank.

Update

Got a lot more done on the engine now it's ready to be fired up

All water system plumbed in, oil cooler fitted and all the fluids in. Already turned it over on the starter motor to chuck the oil around a bit before I start it up.

Then today I've fitted my goodridge braided brake lines as I thought I might as well fit them whilst all the front brakes have been off.

Fronts

Old vs New

Rears

Just got to bleed them now.

Hoping to start the engine tomorrow fingers crossed
