Would give him it but for that error, cost him a potential podium. Magnussen or Ricciardo for me.

Don't read too much into it, just part-time F1 "fans" who'd rather base their opinions on the Daily Mail rather than quality of driving and racing.

Gutted for Hamilton of course, but can't stop grinning at the pace of that Mercedes.

RBR seem to have genuine speed too, who knows whether SV could have troubled Nico had the RBR drivers swapped cars this weekend.

Bottas was really on the move, I imagine he would have troubled the McLarens (at least JB) for the podium had he not stuck it in the wall.

Alonso must be fuming, another season of mediocrity coming up.

Have to say as i saw Nico pull out of the pits and the camera just wait on the straight for DR to come into view my thoughts were "How do you like dem apples RB"

Of course they'll be delighted with 2nd today but the gap Merc have is just superb. People better hope that Merc can get both reliable otherwise they'll be watching another Vettel season. Hate Lewis all you want but right now hes the only one that will make the race for 1st exciting and what a cracking battle it'll be.

They were saying something about an electrical fault on both Ferraris, so who knows what their true pace could be.

Be that's rubbish. I though it was a bit dull fell asleep halfway through.

Thought the start noise was a bit rubbish alway loved the huge roar of 22 engines screaming at 18k revs now sounded like a standard super car race

I'm won over on the noise, yeah the V8's sounded better but the quieter noise allows for so much more from the TV coverage.

Tyre Squeel, wheelspin, bottoming out, turbo chatter all makes for a more enjoyable experience imo.

Those who only ever heard the V8's on TV coverage never heard anywhere near their full soundtrack due to the sheer frequency drowning everything out. At the flesh they had so much more than just high RPM wailing, pops and bangs on downshifts were immense at the GP I've attended - and never heard anything like it on telly.

These new engines will allow for the "auxiliary" soundtrack to come through more, which is a good thing.

Have to agree with Kyle on this one, the sound of I think it was Hulkenberg locking up and the tyre screaming was unreal

The wording of DR's infringement is a bit off, it suggests that it's not the "total fuel used" rule he breached, but the maximum fuel flow of 100kg/hour which the engine is supposed to electronically limit.

If that's the case, it suggests that DR may have had artificial pace for certain portions of the race.

Interesting race I thought.

Shame hamilton had the problems. They will be really gutted if its just a loose lead or connection as suspected on the injections signals.
Rosberg did well. Shows that the car is just as strong as suspected

Williams obviously had some great speed - that Merc engine is very good. I think people were giving Botas a bit more room than normal as they knew that just finishing could well get them points.

Ferarri do look in trouble but at the same time could be a real challenger once they sort their problems. If they fix the electrical issues AND get rid of that 18Kg they are over weight they could be a challenger

The RB its hard to tell. If they were really consistently using more fuel than everyone else who knows how much of an advantage that it - it could be a lot, easily enough to make places difference. From the pre-race meeting with Race director Charlie Whiting it sounds like if you brake the rule you will be out so will see if he stands by his words

Has he actually been dq'd yet? Only just finished watching it so catching up a bit.

Really annoyed about lewis' car, but it happens. Hopefully they can sort it quickly so it doesn't happen so quickly again.

Made up for rosberg, comes across as a really level headed guy who's not into fame, just wants to win for the team.

Magnussen looked great and glad he beat button to the podium. Speaking of which, where the hell did these mclarens get their pace from?

Tyres seem to be much better this year, in terms of degrading aswell as when punctured. The whole carcass came off bottas' car as a whole, rather than bits flapping around all over the place. Good to see.

No still listed 2nd. Apparently a decision will not be made now until tomorrow as the FIA want to check the accuracy of the fuel flow measuring.
