Mad Max 9/10 - Epic action, and mostly live action not cgi which made it even better.

Chappie - 9/10

I like Blomkamp films anyway, but thought this was really good, done very well, it's strange feeling empathy for a robot, but it's so well done.

crossed with Chronicle, the one where the 3 kids get the power to fly etc.

Agree on the rating to, watchable, but nothing special.

Juniper Rising... 3/10... mila must have needed the money after having the babby.

Ex Machina... 7/10... a bit predictable.

American Sniper - 4/10 - The film doesn't follow the book particularly well and a huge amount is either glossed over or massively change. What you end up with is another "Fuck Yeah 'merica!" military film which becomes tedious after a few minutes. It's also riddle and errors which are a bit distracting.
Worth a watch but i wouldn't pay to see it.

The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas - 7/10

Having had the ending spoiled for me before I had even seen the film I knew how it was going to end. One thing that bugged me, as did with Valkyrie was the complete lack of effort in speaking with a German accent. May as well have been about an English family. David Thewlis of all people playing a German! Ending was still Would have given it an 8 had they used accents.

Mad Max : Fury Road - 6/10

I watched Thunderdome the month and changed my opinion of it for the umpteenth time. I decided it was a bad film after all and just cashed in on the first two, which ironically the first time I saw the original I thought wtf where is the Thunderdome! I watched 2 again on Monday and seeing the crazy cars and bikes got me fired up for watching this. The opening was good, even if Hardy was clearly still being Bane. The initial setting of the film had me weary, but the pace was so fast I soon forgot about that and got engrossed in the big chase. You can't deny that George Miller threw everything at this, if only Vue had put it on the big screen, the TV in my living room is almost as big. Ultimately I thought the premise of the film was a bit pointless and disappointing but as there is talk of 2 more films I'm hoping for better in terms of a story and setting from the sequels.

American sniper - thought it was really good. Haven't read the book so wasn't aware of the differences.

Fucking love Pacific Rim! We're you expecting wonderfully scripted drama?

For the film it's meant to be, (ridiculous, harmless, monster v robot action) it's brilliant. Can't wait for him to get started on the second one.
