My thoughts Dom...

I hated the trailers and was not fussed over seeing it urgently. Love the original but was tempted.

The CGI is ropey in places. But it doesn't detract from the experience IMHO. I would go and see it, so long as you know what you're watching. It's dinosaurs, and a blockbuster with mass market appeal. It's no Shakespeare and there are a few small annoyances but I was totally hooked. First 5mins is a bit iffy and got my back up but it just didn't matter. Brilliant film IMO.

That's exactly what I wanted to hear, may have to "take my daughter" to see it this week, by which I mean I'm going to watch it and to stop the missus complaining I'll drag my kid along, although saying that the missus wants to see it too

It's pretty brutal Cavey, lots of blood and guts and people getting eaten. Not sure it's a (young) kids film!

Did you all watch it in 3D?

It was just so unnecessarily far fetched. The previous films (well the first 2) had really strong characters whilst you don't really care what happens to any of them in this one

It's worth watching if your a fan, which I am. I didn't have any issues with the cgi

Assuming the original film is a 10/10. The second a 8/10 and 3rd 3/10 then this is 6

Loved it id give it it 9/10, but the one thing i agree with which didnt bother me too much was that it didnt have strong characters as said above like the first film, Malcolm being my favorite

Not only a new battery, a battery with enough charge after had been in storage for 20 years, and fuel that still was useable. No seized wheels, or flat tyres of seized engine.

Shows film done well to have you questioning get things like that, but not the dinosaurs running around

At least Chris Pratt had the tongue in cheek line of saying how did they get it started

Are we in sync or something? Saw it with my brother in 3D this evening but no need for any extra fees as we're on black cards

Hmm on reflection I think im going to downgrade it to 7/10

It was a good film, I enjoyed it, and its definitely the 2nd best out of them all after the first, but it was still guilty of doing what most films are these days, and that was just concentrating on OTT scenes, and sets, and less of creating a deep story and setting like the first movie.

It's almost as though people now are no longer able to digest and understand a good story, and are just sat there like dumb puppets wowing over ott unrealistic technology and action scenes

American sniper: 8.5/10 ace film, really cared about the characters which can be rare in a war film. I felt the ending was a little sloppy but perhaps had to be done that way because of actual events etc

Need for speed: I'll give 2 ratings for this as follows

Cars: 10/10
Storyline: horseshit/10
