And what of the 200bhp versions? Or the 275bhp version.

Nice little cars, good for the town, bit heavy, but very comfy and go quite well for a heavy 1.6.

ITs not a tin can don't forget!

and yes the Mini is built by BMW, and does have a VERY strong chassis, but for 15k you dont even get a rev counter

Thats a flippin joke!!

I use my rev counter as indication to change up!

Shame when people buy cars because they are so self concious about their image and what they will look like in them. MGF got to be another classic for that.

I think it is a Chrysler engine actually. I saw one of these engines stripped down. It's a truely awful design - tiny ports and ports as rough as fcuk. That's why you have to supercharge it to get any power from it. Mark (who built my engine) reckons it's got to be one of the shittiest engines he's ever seen (and he's seen a few )

Although I despise the new Mini (it completely destroys the concept of the original Mini and is bought by insecure gay motherfcukers who want to look cool ), it has got a cracking chassis by all accounts, and because of this is quicker on the road in real driving conditions than the power or standing quarter figures would suggest.

I thought the power output had better potential, if they sorted the heads out properly so they flowed air better they would get decent power figures out of it. I would think the 200bhp tuning packages for it must consist of some headwork?

Yes, I believe it's based on the Cooper works engine, which has improvements carried out to the head

Not saying it's a bad car, and wouldn't mind a shot in the Cooper S works version - just hate all the image thing that goes with it
