However, there are always gonna be faster cars so...lets just say its a nippy 1.3TD..solved Not lets have a group hug

Around town the 1.3CDTi will feel quicker than it actually is. My brother has an L-reg 405TD and it feels much quicker than my Corsa 1.4 SRi but in truth it is 2 seconds slower to 60mph.

This is true, I do a lot of my driving in the centre of London and my 1.0 corsa feels faster than the 1.7 Volvo I used to drive, although that's probably due to the weight. Definitely slower accelerating on the motorway at high speed, but at least it doesn't shake to bits at 95

only cos the diesel needs an extra gear change to get 60. probably find on the road is actually is the same from standstill too top end, just will be better midrange.

i agree, althouguh the revised version is 100 bhp. all you need on a td is a cone filter and a chip and it transforms the car.

top right of screen-pissing down with rain on motorway. fog lights on when raining in daylight allows drivers in front to see u without blinding them.

There is absolutely no point in tuning it what so ever, and certainly no point in arguing that it is or isnt rapid against a 1.2?
ha you must know ur cars m8. diesles can in some instances be tuned more than petrol because theyre compression ignition not spark ignition.

Makes you wonder why all those silly F1 teams carrying on fannying around with petrol engines, all they need to do is rob the engine out of a Massey Ferguson and they would have the title sewn up.
