Tnoy i feel me and you have been through similar gbreakups.
Both hit drinking hard.
me done lots of drugs that really helped my head 
Now starting to calm down alot

At the end of the day, some people think about their actions others don't, it depends who you are. Everyone is different in their different ways.
If a Girlfriend slapped me, i very much dought id hit her back, i would get mad depending on the sircumstance (if it wasnt deserved) but sitting here now i would say i wouldnt hit her back, but then who knows at the time and place what could happen?
If someone goes and and hit's a women/girlfriend with intent, knowing what they are doing they should be shot, but you just can't put that together with what happens on a rush of blood!
