There all FWD and the insurance and running costs won't be cheap for any of them!

STI Scooby or Minted EVO 6 TME for me please At least you have the power..the grip and the street cred rolled in already.

Yeah that was my point vibs..The scooby wasn't as bad as i expected to be honest only the insurance was harsh.But then again i'm 24 with 0 no claims in a bad area parked on the street.

Why get a hot hatch with quite bad running costs when you can go that bit further and get a much better car for your money!

Oh and PLEASE don't start slating AMD as you will be on your own on that one

The thing is with Scoobys and EVO's if you cane the arse off them etc they will bite you back when it comes to servicing/petrol and brakes etc etc

if I use the power of my GT it hits me with fuel consuption you'd not believe for a 1372cc engine

I'd rather have a leon cupra R than a evo, scooby estate would be nice though but again don;t want low 20's mpg lol

My MPG was really bad if i drove it hard..160 miles to £40 isn't good but i only did about 90 miles a week sooooo

Leon's are a bit tame but i get were your coming from..I miss my Audi A3 Turbo somtimes Power delivery was so smooth and it was so well made.

The vrs is a nice car imo. They aren't slow to start with and you can release even more power with simple remaps if you want to

Most hot hatches are in the 20k region, i would personally rather have an S2000 or stretch to an RX8. I can dream on...

Astra on the straights made the other two look silly

FFS though how often are the three of them going to be racing in day to day like they were on the track.

I love Astra VXR, I will make love to one.

Id have taken the Vaux.

Golf = cliche
Megane = French
Astra = my choice

Wouldn't mind the Megane but couldn't deal with the Frenchness

I would have in order

Astra
Megane
Golf

I actually love the Megane nearly as much as the Astra and for me to say that about a French car is pretty impressive.
