My brother got done for it and was banned for a year.
one mate has been caught after he thought the police were after him so went round a roundabout and sped past them, then they did follow him and he crashed into a barrier going around the next roundabout. was a ridiculous amount over the limit

so you drive without a licence
depending on man or women and size the avarage of the body to get rid of alchohol is 1 unit an hour. for measure a pint of stelle is 2.5 - 3 units.
blood test can be worse than a breath test!!!

I'm banned at the mo for DD. The limit is 35ml in breath, i blew 72ml on the roadside then 68ml at the station. I got banned for 20months reduced to 15 after i did a course, was also fined £450 plus £100 to the farmer whos fence i went threw.
I'm not 100% sure but i always thought they let you off if it's 40ml and below???
Your mate will probably get 12months reduced to 9 if they offer them the course, which cost £150 to do!

ive got a m8 who was caught drink driving,he was let off lightly considering,he managed to hit a wall swerve away from the wall he just hit and catch the front wing of a police car and to top it off it was in wales, they dont seem to be too friendly when it comes to english and cars, but obvioulsy cant be said about the police officer who caught my mate,he was sent to court and banned for 18 month, but he learnt his lesson tho and was thankfull for just the ban he was given

Will probs get a 12 month ban and a £100 fine and about £40 CPS Costs.
If can prove he needs his car for work or something or that nature he may be let of with 9/11 points, and recieve a much higher fine and be told he MUST attend a drving course

If you can prove that is it essential that you need yo car to work then they can give it out points, admitidly it only happens once in a blue moon, but it is a possibility
