OK so basically non-Corsa stuff is clearly present. We can either contain that somewhere or keep newbies and move the proportion back a bit

Matt - most of the non-Corsa stuff on here is about Astra GSi and coupes

When are we merging

On my site for the chat forums I have

- Newbie Introductions
- Car Chat
- General Chat
- Events
- Comedy Corner

Maybe have a similar arrangement here?

I don't think the approach is adopt something from elsewhere Sam, its look at what will work best for here.

just an observation but independant forums just for newbies, can become slow and it then looks as if the site is unwelcoming to new members. Would be better as a sub forum or built into offday??

Just an idea..

Newbies often post hello messages in GC, so I think a Newbie forum would be good.

Yeah could be a subforum to GC.

The alternative is a 'be nice' policy, then newbie threads would actually be OK in GC anyway.

No - newbies aim to sign up should be to talk in GC or HZ, or possibly Classifieds.

OD isn't a real reason to sign up...

Telling them their car is crap, people don't realise that if you don't like something you aren't forced to post.
