you cant learn anything from readinf stuff on a site or in books, the only way to learn is to hone your instincts and reactions to do the right thing

its so easy to make a mistake from letting your instincts take over though

i let that happen, when a pheasant ran out in front of me. it was a disaster. if i'd have thought about it, i wouldnt have bent stuff

haha ^ - the biggest part is conditioning the mind, to do the opposite to what most normal drivers would do in a situation.

Insticts are going too fast, lift off or brake.

I've had a lot of people in my car that have been scared - saying I was driving too quick etc. But it was mainly because in their mind I was doing everything wrong.

I knew a corner was tight, so best for grip was keeping the gas on slightly (not necisarily accelerating around it - just holding it) - obviously in their mind I should of been braking hard mid corner and stacking my car

Dont bother with the Ferrari days....they are more like minutes, not hours.

As said before book yourself on a trackday and get some tuition from the resident trainer.

All the karts would weigh the same in a race

not necessarily. I think usually the minimum weight is 180kg, we had a kart a couple of years back racing with some old honda engine, weighed in at 340kg.

My dad is an official with the national karting association, they all have to be weighted so no one gets an advantage. They're weighed after the race.

maybe so. but im not looking to learn in the ferrari, just want the experience of such a car. if you put a 300bhp LET nova/corsa and a decent ferrari infront of me i wouldnt be picking the nova/corsa mate. just my personal opinion. but as most people know on here i do fully appreicate the work that goes into making our small vauxhalls quick as fook

Driving round Brunters was certainly a change from being on the roads. First time around I did it all totally wrong, braking into corners when I didn't need to etc. Then I realised keeping it planted was a far better option

Oh & I saw Tims Rud's Corsa beat a Scooby around the track. Scoob had a head start too & finished a fair bit behind!
