Nasty. Especially the one in the second vid where the marshalls run across the track and the first one makes it but the second one gets tossed into the air.

All F1 drivers are hero's in my books, the skills required and the dangers they have to face are immense.

the videos are immensely sad, but i take comfort in the fact that none of them would have suffered, their deaths were quick. and they died doing what they loved. this doesnt make it alright tho. any motorsport is a hugely dangerous business.

and senna put it simply, when he said that roland ratzenberger would have wanted them to continue, and im sure Senna would have want ed the show to go on.

RIP

That vid Jules posted was so moving. My hats of goes to all of them. The Senna images nearly bought a tear to my eye, and as Sam said, the Roland Ratzenberger footage, shocking to see his head just flopping about like that, so helpless. Makes me think not enough is done these days to comemorate these heroes.

all the cars had black nosecones* for the 2004 Imola GP, but thats the only thing really

Remember that those vids are of 10 or 12 fatalities over 50 years.

more people are killed Banger Racing than in F1

edit: * or so i though, although, on further investigation, they didnt

100% Ferrari! watch it closer next time. Hunt won the championship that year in a McLaren.

Finding that 2nd link far more sick than the first. When they show the steward getting hit in slow mo and his legs come off and fly through the air
