It depends how much tar is on the paintwork, taking that off is hard work. I found everything else lifted off the paint and was easy.

they are ideal on lighter cars, gets every bit of tar off, i did my teg all over first day i had it with a clay bar, using the spray detailer that comes with the kit.

spent the day cleaning the car gave it the clay bar treatment












very impressed with the shine and smoothness after using the megs clay bar

Yes Steve, I did.

I always wear engineer's inspection gloves to do anything on cars, I use either vinyl or blue nitrile depending on what I can get my mitts on.

Latex can be a bad idea as many people are allergic to it.

I have psoriasis and contact dermatitis from damage done to my skin in the motor trade, so have to keep my hands covered to keep oils, muck and solvents away from my skin, so I was definitely not going to use something described as irritant with bare hands.

I would strongly advise everyone to do likewise, and this goes for any work on your car.

just done my bonnet and wings, must say im quite impressed, im shocked byt the amount of crap thats on the clay bar itself, i thought my paint was very clean

storing the bar, do i just leave it laying about in the garage? will it stay soft?

Best to keep it in a tupperware/sealed container.

Another tip, leave the clay in your warm water whilst washing the car and give it a once over whilst the soap/shampoo is still on the car!
