Anyway, the car already has chassis legs, so they had to give it another name.

Besides, if you stand up straight with one arm held out and spin on the spot, you look just like a rotor arm... hence the name.

I presume your car has no rotor arm and some sort of solid state mullarcky then Broster, hence the most common automotive item in the world seeming so alien to you.

i have an st170 dis pack, coil are for people who are scared of technology! even pf nick has seen the light and runs a dis pack on his rst lol!

i work with rst's all day long, so sadly im familiar with ordering new rotor arms and caps day in day out! we buy in bulk.....

Wouldn't have thought so, if they are cylinder mounted units like on vag engines.

Are they like this or are they like the module that replaced the dizzy on the S1 Orion hatchback XR1600i?

Like my what Jimbo?

All my cars use a conventional set up mate.

The Mercedes and the Turbo both use a distributor and I presume the V8 does too.

most modern cars use dis packs now, the rover (being rover) may use a coil and distrbuter tho
