want to get my own experiences though with DV....Cone I hope to have enclosed soon enough with cold air pipes..

so all these ppl out there with DV and ind kit are fucking up their cars??? Personally I can't see it but time will tell.

If the cone is more enclosed surely this won't be so much of a problem? The cone is pre-oiled from factory is it due to the intake sucking this oil in?

yes coats the MAF, and the VTA can mess up the car slowly as the car thinks theres an external leak in the system
theres a massive post about it somewhere from some expert, which il find if u really want me to

steves right , if you can take the kit off and get some brake cleaner from a motor factors and soak it through and clean it with it and at least ull save the air flow sensor, dumpvalve it tricky really, most cars engine managment systems arent good enough to realise that theres anything wrong but some are, but ull find out soon enough if the eml comes on

k and n's were originally designed to run on older cars that dont use mafs, and VTA valves are again ok on older engines like RST's

new technology doesnt mix with old

no but they oil them so that the filter a bit more shit and last a bit longer but it ruins air flow meters, at vaux u get a warning to remove it before any dainosis is done
