Shocking performance, and what a great game we have Tuesday, Burnley at home. Burnley being the only team unbeaten away.... Oh joy.

I said earlier in this thread that we needed Heikinnen to be fit or we'd be in trouble, and what happens? He isnt fit and we get beat badly.

Now I have no doubt Ipswich were the better team today, but some of the decisions by the lino and ref were annoying. Disallowed goal was a pain, this offside rule is a farce and causes too many problems. Alan Lee clearly fouled Beresford for number 2, also nobody can say it wasn't a foul.

Not making any excuses before anyone starts saying sour grapes or whatever, as if you'd re-read the above paragraph I said 'Now I have no doubt Ipswich were the better team today'.

Ho hum, need a result on Tuesday now.

Hoping for 3 points on Tuesday after Friday's performance. Won't be easy but I'm fairly confident.

If our defenders are still flu ridden it'll be 3 points to you, no doubt in my mind about that.

We have a few injury probs of out own With McGreal out for 6 weeks, Coyne still injured etc but Friday night aside the defence is looking pretty solid + Andy Gray really is hitting form. Will be interesting for sure and deffo goals in it.

DAVIS IN STROKE WORRY
Hatters boss Mike Newell has revealed that defender Sol Davis suffered a stroke on Saturday on their way to Ipswich Town.

Davis, 27, is currently in a specialist unit at Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge.

After seeing his side beaten 5-0 by Ipswich, Newell said: "I would like to put on record that Sol suffered a stroke on Saturday, 25 minutes after we left Luton on Saturday.

"We have kept that quiet until now but that puts everything into perspective. I don't want distorted reports or sensationalism and although we are not making excuses at all for our performance, our thoughts are all with Sol.

"I'm not sure if that has had an effect on the players, but it can't really have helped. Sol has made a bit of an improvement but he lost feeling in his left side and it has affected his speech.

"It was apparently a blockage to the brain that has caused it, but I will not go into full details as I am not sure what they are."

Everybody connected with Luton Town Football Club wishes Sol a speedy recovery

No wonder the players looked out of sorts. Get well soon Sol.

I agree with all of that.

Ipswich played Luton off the park and played some really good football. Luton should of had a goal and also it was deffo a foul on the keeper!

Luton seemed as though that stroke on Sol had affected the whole team, Newell certainly didn't seem right in the interview.

Anyway Ipswich played well and deserved the 3 points today.
