The S2000 does not have the same engine. (Unsure about the DC5 ITR)

thats not what i said was it, i said i dont like the vtec engines, but DONT MIND them in he ITR and s2k

steve, everyone on here knows your opinions. the leon is the best car ever, the leon is the fastest car ever, corsa's are shit, everyone should buy a leon but it still wont be as fast as yours etc etc.

really, your opinions on fast cars have been blurred by your mildly nippy shopping machine. think about it before you post.

DC5 ITR has a K20A, same as the EP CTR, but the ITR has 20bhp more.

40bhp difference, not 20bhp.

The S2000 is 240bhp, the DC5 ITR and CTR are both 200bhp.

The S2000 engine is lower and longer, as its designed for RWD.

I hear the Lotus guys with k20a engine conversions are now re mapping theirs so the vtec kicks in lower...thus overcoming part of the low down torque issues.

That said, I wouldn't want a CTR or any other FWD car for that matter

Ok similar engines then in the way that the power is delivered.

Oh well does'nt really bother me as i'd never buy any of the 3 was just curious about people's fickleness towards Honda's and Vtec.

i dont think ctr's do too badly on a track, and if they werent owned by wankers id probably have a better image of them, i just like to slate them at every opportunity to bring the owners down a peg or two

I went onboard with my m8 in his dads radical s3 (£55k) on a track day round donnington. Followed a guy in a type r for a few corners and it was awsome round bends for FWD at one point he had a wheel of the floor! After seeing that i have alot of respect for them. Personally i wouldnt spend my cash on a car unless it was 4x4 or rwd.

Didn't Adam B have a video of him beating one in his 2.0 Corsa?

That was on a track

You'd be forever changing down a gear trying to keep the revs high so you have some power to accelerate with

so how many wheels you can get off the floor is now the judge of how well a car handles

No but it shows how hard they can be pushed without ending up rolling into a gravel trap.

or possibly a really good driver in the corsa?????????? dont forget that it is also possible to make a corsa handle

I had koni's with eibach springs and 17s on my sri and it was still terrible! I would have thought with a 2.0l up front it would have been even worse on track!

but a Corsa can lift a rear wheel, the same as any FWD with stiff suspension

no doubt the offset was incorrect then.

you can't judge a car by the fact it can lift a wheel. that's like comparing suspension kits by looking at different pictures of cars cornering.
