Standard vs standard there aint much in it ... 106's are a little quicker and handle a little better ... but .... polo is 10x's more comfy and more refined ... 106 for stuff like tracks ... polo for road ...

920kgs 120-130bhp standard
compared to
1090kgs and 120bhp
correction 120bhp vs 125bhp ... and if i remeber rightly the polo has
lots more torque??
nope 114 lb/ft
106 has 112 lb/ft
106's came in 120 some later models had 130bhp

i can tell you now a 106gti is 10x the drivers car a polo gti is
the polo gti is a very good car, and does offer things over the 106gti such as reliability, build quality etc, just the 106gti is a lot further ahead in the drivability factor

i disagree, mine's lowered on spax shocks n springs and it's still very comfortable, it has leather and alcantara as standard which the polo don't!!!

granted the polo they test is a 1.4 16v but i dont think clarkson wouldve had that much better things to say about a 1600 version

ok but it all depends what you want from the car ...
you shouldnt really be testing out the total handling of a car on public highways anyway
