Ok he might have been a cock ripping the piss out of someone else...but just because a car overtakes him whilst he clearly isnt trying doesnt mean he "got it"...he was probably laughing his head off as the chav went screaming past bouncing off the limiter...

Without opening a can of worms or anything...

Exactly what im thinking, Ive had folk in all sorts obviously 'trying to teach me a lesson' or whatever in a couple cars ive had...........I usually let them pass for fear of them sideswiping me off the road or running into the back of me

He was trying?

I assure you if he was the result would have been different...he was probably amusing you by giving it a little throttle but staying within safe boundaries so not to risk his car...

Whatever mate, straight road and a duel carriageway, he was 3 up, his mate was chucking all the rubbish out there car at us, when we pulled past he just looked at his speedo, it would be pointless to lie about anyway.

All you people doing these mathamitic bollocks, taken into account transmission loss because it was a 4wd etc ?

No.

225 TT 1/4 mile is 14.6seconds, I was sure a 2L Corsa 150-160bhp was low 15's ????

Taking into account the extra heffer in the car ? and the fact the 2ltr corsa has no rear seats.

If this was the 225 TT I dont beleive he was using the cars full potential.

However I certainly can see a stripped XE Corsa beating a 180bhp TT.

Depends on the TT, it could have been a 150, and a 180 with 3 people would be slower than a 20xe corsa with half an interior, IMO, considering it had 160+bhp when Riley had it.
