Yes, but the time you've replace the headgasket everytime u've used boost, this is the cheap option.



i think its more of a toss up like lol...5's can run sweet if u look after them...my 1.4 wud never be as fast but thats obvious like

Sounds like people have got some very good results from them.

I asked because of deciding whether fit a 1.6 16v, and have the option of powerbox etc.
Or just fit a std 2L.

Tbh, i think i'd rather have the modded 1.6 16v, less work to fit, cheaper insurance, newer engine.

Out of interest how much do people pay for remaps?

I've been quoted £500. But I want Jamsport to map mine, but I dunno how much they charge, or how good they are. I think Dave A does maps.

Just been quoted £450+ from jamsport, which inlcudes raising the rev limit.

And £850+ for Stand alone managment.
