theres two types of car owner. ones that drive through the town @ 10mph hoping to turn heads and those that are only interested in performance. yes its good if it looks nice to but impo performance is much higher on the priority scale

yes, myself classed as that.
for what that tigra was made for it does it better than most other cars. i fail to see any relevance to its styling or not being tidy. it does the business, thats all that matters. i have to say with it on 2bar will slaughter my car so good on him. id be happy if mine wasnt a neat masterpiece of look at under my bonnet bling like some people think is important if it hd the potential performance that the tigra has.
i think it is, and will be even more of a beast come the end of the month

LOL. Some people really don't seem to get this car. I'll just clarify for you...
The chap that built it is known around here as 'specky'. He is well into cars that look well and go well, the "best of both worlds" as someone put it earlier.
His daily hack is a silver mk4 with a LET in running around 300bhp - complete sleeper.
His wives daily hack is a blue tigra witha 2.5 V6 in it, with 18s - this car was on the Autovaux stand at PV.
His wives 'toy' is a blue corsa with a 300bhp+ LET in it, with 18s and 'custom' wide arches; this car ran at PV last year - it had launch control etc and ran a very low 13second quarter.
If I had pictures of the above cars then I'd post them, but unfortunately I don't.
Anyway, this tigra. 4 weeks before PV the car had no engine in it.
3 weeks before PV there were a pile of engine bits
2 weeks before it had an engine, and was being run in.
1 week before PV the engine melted on its first hard drive due to an injector fault.
3 days before PV the car engine was being rebuilt
2 days before PV it was being run in.
1 day before PV it was being mapped....
the mapping showed a problem with the clutch - it kept slipping on boost, so alas it never got to run at the show 
Within days of coming back the clutch was replaced, the car was remapped and it was boosting like a mofo. It went back to Santapod at the next RWYB and did a 12.8@117mph- this time was accepted by Chip as good enough to run on the TOTB team.
The manifold has now been replaced (it was only made to actually 'get' the car to PV)
The car now has Aquamist water injection fitted
It's likely it'll have the option of Nitrous when running at TOTB aswell.
It goes for FURTHER mapping on Monday by Andy Nicholls(chap that runs the naughty Rover that runs at TOTB).
The car will probably be painted before TOTB if he gets time - but as I'm sure you all agree- winning at TOTB is more important than having a car with the same coloured panels on
Also, the 'remote' air filter is now hidden behind a new front bumper. And that air filter wasn't present at the time the car was MOTd. It is fully legal, insured, and taxed.
I hope this clears up a few things- the car, at PV was NOT finished.

people will always critise things on here daveb as its all about looking smart with irmscher, not about making something do what it was intended for regardless of it not being show winning quality. i appreciate that tigra can see the effort gone in and the idea behind it all.

well i think that cars the fuckin tits regardless of everyone elses oppinions people who critisise stuff like that are just jelous.
i like a car to look good and go well,
you can see this car aint even finnished yet so give the bloke a chance.
the tigra looks like it was done by somone on coke, which is the whole point its "MENTAL" and i like mental cause mental shows people that are fun, my opinion is you can always tell somone whos fun to be around by their car. the people that are the sheep drive cars that conform not saying they are boring in anyway at all but you get the gist they follow whats acceptable, then theres chavs that just drive shit most of the time, then theres the group of people that are different to everyone else,like this tigra
drive a car thats mad these people normally get targeted by people that cant stand individuality and so on never fit in like everyone else and these people are mad and a good laugh.
so it annoys me when everyone else jumps on somone cause their cars dont follow the norm.
