you need a slap

why? im not the one claiming to be quick. my car is not standard so leave that out of the equation.

0-60 and 0-100 the 106 is not quicker than the 306 and the vts saxo is not quicker than the VTs Xsara. end of.

7.4 topshot, you know pugeot tested the 106 in a different way to get a better ig than the the vts, you know this so why quote 8.2?

i told you mines not standard so dont even compare them.

A standard gti/rallye 306 will beat a standard 106 gti to both 60mph and 100mph i saw it happen plenty at FC shows before.

they also did this on the 306 gti which is why the 7.8 is incorrect, ive seen 90kmile rallyes do 0-60mph in 6.8s, show me standard 106 gti that can do that

down to driver i suppose, but theres no way a decent driver could get a 106 gti to do 0-60 in 6.8seconds in standard form.

agree to disagreem all i know is the 0-60 stats are very close, the 106 being 7.4 and the 306 being 7.2, also my real life experiences would suggest to two are closely matched. I would think the 306gti is quicker above a ton

i wouldnt pay too much attention to 0-60 times youve seen at the french car shows as that timing method has been rumoured to be not very accurate.

theres 17 going to FCS so i could work out a decent average when we have been there in july.

i saw a few do 6.8-7.2
i would say the average is around 7.2-7.4 for a standard 306 gti-6 with NO mods

mid 7's is what they get standard topshot, a standard one was officially tested evo and its average was 7.4

a modded one will get sub 7's as per paul_js high 6's 0-60

back to his topic he still would better with a Xsara VTS or GTi-6 as spedning money on them will see 220+bhp from cams and throttlebodies rather than spend it on trying to get 170bhp with a lot less torque from a 1.6 saxo

so even a modded one is no quicker then? look i know they are good cars but people like cupra steve are nobs if they think he wiped the floor with a 306 rallye.
