yeah, if its windscreen bonder then it will be absolutely fine as it is obviously used in accordance with a windscreen rubber seal in some cases.

cheers for posting up about it though as its a good thing to bear in mind if me or my mates are messing with any rubbers of bushings that could benefit from doing that

muthafuckin set no3. set 1, 1 piston fucked due to liner incident, set 2, one piston fucked due to valve guide, set 3 awaiting put into engine.

fucks me off as theyre costly, but, i have a few ashtrays to scatter about the garage now i guess

Can you not buy 1 piston, or are they all matched?

yeah probably could do, although finding someone that would sell just 1 je piston was proving dificult for some reason. set 1 and set 2 also are slightly different or i could have used one of them, id rather star from scratch to make things right basically.

go-tech group buy on mig Nic if you havent seen it already dude.

Otherwise, new pistons look glorious, lets hope the fucker wont break this time.

whats the story with the head? is it being re built to the same spec? or uprated guides/ valves etc???

last head was a std head, will take some pics of the new one when its ready. it will have proper parts inside it this time. although if that guide hadnt cracked, i couldnt fault a std head and valves etc, it made its power using a std head, so theyre a lot better on a turbo'd engine than people suggest.

edit, oh and yeah seen the gotech, not sure what management to go for yet, will cross that bridge once the rest is sorted really
