S1 got 5 stars, S2 got 4, GTi got 4.5.
The S1 is the only car in their Superminis section to get 5 stars.

your selling ures??
wot u done to acheive 160bhp (per ton??)???
im getting interested but wud have to see a gud £2000 come from the corsa for it to be worth selling.
Not only am i considering getting a gti but abit of light tunning me thinks, like how it looks standard so wud all be performance stuff
owww i feel 12 again

no, not 160 bhp per tonne...
160 bhp @ the engine..
i.e. about 178 bhp per tonne based on a gti weight of around 900kg.
It's got Kent PT 51 cams
A chipwizards (at Jamsport) ECU remap.
4-2-1 stainless raceland manifold
Pugsport decat group N exhaust
Ecosse enclosed induction with green inside.
over £1500 spent on the engine.
But my car also has sorted suspension, with bilstein sprintline shocks all front and rear, eibach springs with car lowered about 40mm all round. Strutbrace etc.
Plus it's on VTS wheels (which I think make gti's look better!) but I have standard Gti wheels still in my garage as well.
This car leaves XE'd corsa's behind, beats Civic Type R's, etc. I even beat OJC's Astra VXR in a straight line.
The best bit is, you can still insure it as a 1.6 16v Gti

I've owned it for about 3 years now and it's been a great car to me, under-estimated by most, but matches / beats so many modern cars in straight line pace, but has amazing handling too (if you know how to drive).
If your ever down my way, I'll take you out in it. I remember the first time I went into my Gti from my corsa I thought it felt like warp drive everytime I accelerated... and that was when it was STANDARD... I'd imagine you getting in my car now, it'd be feeling insanely fast - but you'd just have to be sensible and drive within your limits till you got used to it.

I could go on......
I owned a 98 gti for over 2 years, i did 30k in it taking it up to 85k and it did not break once, often driven quite hard.
Onlt thing i had to replace was the usual tyres, new exhaust (when it fell off)!
Take the time to find a good example, my mate has just bought a '1 owner' with 37k on the clock and he's spent £1000 fixing it in 2 months.
