I'm not sure exactly when, but I was at the Biggin Hill Air Show with my Dad when I was 9 or 10 if I remember correctly and the Vulcan buzzed the crowd and pulled up almost vertically right in front of me.

It looked and felt about 18 feet away.

I can still remember the vibration, the sound level, and the pressure on/in my chest.

It was absolutely jaw dropping and utterly awe inspiring.

If god flew a light aircraft, his would be a Vulcan

If I could have a sig, that would definately be in it.

At the air show on the seafront in Folkestone, the sight that most impressed me was the lancaster/spitfire/hurricane formation, its breath taking in every sense. The B17 and P51d was an equally impressive spectacle.

i've seen this at Fairford (RIAT) every year for the past 7 yrs! it is the most amazing site in terms of aircraft size against manoeuvrability. it is super loud and with wings forward or back is a beautiful aircraft! it even has a control coulmn rather than a yoke - would certainly give the pilot the feeling of a fighter rather than a large bomber!
