our hostal was about 50 metres from there, right on the red light zone, was ok too.
There are quite alot of dodgy folk knocking about so be careful with phones and wallets etc. We had a tramp talking to us who turned around and said "watch you don't get stabbed" after none of us gave him any money.
The sights are amazing though, can't beleive how fit some of them prossies are.
Also we had a bit of a scuffle walking back from some pubs late at night, 2 locals started on us, It was funny though as it was one scrawnny lad and a fat ish lad and there was 5 of us, we were shocked it happened, my mate ended up dislocating his should spear tackling one of them.

yeh some gypos (kids about 16-18) tryed to mug in the RLD, i just pegged it laughing.
Also the street dealers are ok alsong as u stay on the street, dont get walking down no back ally with them

i went with the x in march, just got completely messy in the daytime and hit the RLD and clubs at night. cant remember the names of anywhere we went though and theres not too much to do other than get fucked up in the cafes

we went in some australian bar and had kangaroo burgers.
problem we had was that we were getting too baked too early so about 2/3pm everyone was falling asleep. get up about 6/7 and go out for the night. we were there 3 days and it felt like a week

andy thats exactly wat happend to us
got stonned as soon as we woke up come afternoon wanted a kip and eve was to fucked to do something productive, so just ended up in coffee shops all day and night.

Going there on a stag do in April, i am the best man too, so gotta arrange some things to do, obviously sex shows strippers etc...good cafes ...bars....clubs, gonna be messy!

Yep, agreed, theres a few touristy things to do but not that much IMO
We went to the Amsterdam ArenA (obv cos of the footy) but its worth a shout, Anne Frank mueseum, boat trip and then we had a BIGGGGGGGGGGGG walk around the city that was a good crack but other than that, get fucked up with the barnies!!!!!!

It's just luck I suppose. I live in Barnsley, a night out on the town at the week end is like fight night, I've never had any trouble in 23 years. As I said, them guys actually started on us, it was mad, considering 3 of us are 6ft plus, and the guy who hurt his shoulder is a very stocky lad, the other lad with us is about 5ft3 We were all shocked, but i reckon they will think again before trying it on with someone else.
Have a look for the tramp who does football skills, he will be knocking about somewhere, he is unreal.
