Seems alot of money but suppose you wouldn't getthat kind of performance from many other cars for £3600 - fair play.

BTW Don't turn the boost up, you will regret it big time imo.

I am guna see what routes I can go down in terms of boost. I wont be doing anything silly and winding it up so its a time bomb but it was set-up at 24 p.s.i for a reason by Rob.

I think £3,600 is a fair price for the car. Like you have said for the performance the money is not alot.

YEah, its setup at 24psi for peak boost and short 1/4 mile runs.

It'll prob still do mid/high 12's on 18psi.

Are T28's capable of holding a reliable 24psi?

Why not look at having 2 maps done? A low boost setting, for road driving and mincing. And a high boost setting, purley for drag strip racing.

As a clue, why does a £100k MotoGP bike need a rebuild after every race? They are run at a very high state of tune, hence parts wear much faster and to much shorter tollerences. Same way an F1 engine does. Also why they turned them down from 20,000rpm to max of 19,000rpm. Costs, reliability (making them last 2 races).

We're not moaning or saying what to do. But im sure u'll be the first to be upset if you wind up the boost after buying it, then it goes bang........... Expensive rebuild... Can you afford to rebuild it if it goes bang?

bet it will have in car adjustable boost, plus its a carb not injection

And thats gonna be an awsome 1/4 mile stormer, does it give 0-60 on the qtr mile slip??

Yeh I can afford a rebuild as myself and Rob/Gaz will be will be doing it. I have looked at the rebuild side of things and £500 max for the rebuild on this car.

I believe the boost is adjustable in the car yeah. I wont be winding the boost up VXR because as you say if I blow it up then I will be rather Pissed off.

But yeh if something goes wrong I can afford to fix it.

Guess it would be hard on a carb'd car.....
Not that I knew it was a carbed engine, as i don't know anything about Renaults

But it would be a "little" hard on a carb'd lump

The car might already be running sweet and may not need setting up. I am only saying that im guna get it checked over and if it needs setting up then it will get done.

Its a modified T28 with 360 thrust bearings I think. Thats all i know so far.

The bumper sits like this due to the front intercooler being so large.
