Update about the Grey M3 - It has no Nav/TV which is a MUST have for me (residuals, cool factor, don't want a basic car etc etc) but the actual car is spot on (mileage/age/colour/HK/19s etc) so I COULD retro fit the dvd based BMW screen/nav etc for approx 1k or I could go for a top notch Alpine touch screen dvd/cd/sat nav which would be a better system but not OEM, and it might not 'look' as good. What would you do? I'm speaking to the guy again tomorrow as he's abroad at moment, he's moving to Dubai in a few weeks so I think I can get it for a good price to compenstate having to spend a grand on the nav/tv 'issue'..

I like those new evos. Best visually looking yet.
But understand totally. Jap stuff is fast, and easy to tune. But the europeans build them properly. No rattles or knocks. Just the overal feel is better.

Personally, even with retro-0fit of OEM SatNav etc thats a pretty good price so Id be tempted, whaty colour leather, red i hope?
does it have folding mirrors, armrest or the aluminium trim? Those were the little options i was always looking for ina ddition toi 19s/HK etc (which are, lets face it, a must for 99% of M3s!)

I sold my Evo and thought about getting an RS4.
I know a few guys that have sold their evo's for an RS4, and they've hated it!!! Sold them and bought another Evo lol.
I'll probably end up getting an M3.

Robbo I don't know mate, I think it has HK (arm rest/alu/mirrors would be good but not fussed) - He's in China at mo so I'm ringing back tomorrow! I agree with the retro fitting, I think I can get a chunk off that price too seeing as he's moving out the country in a couple of weeks coupled to the fact I have cash and it's a shit time of year to sell a car. I'm tempted to put a top spec Alpine dvd/nav unit though as it will be miles better BUT not the OEM look I like hmmm.
RS4's are nice but the whole point of not buying one is so I can plough a load of money into my business - I've seen a fully loaded 56 plate RR Sport I like but can't really justify spending 40k when the extra 15 in my business would make me a load more in the long run

Nik seems sensible enough tbh (not spending £40k on a rr sport ) It's not liek your gonna be driving round in a banger in the mean time
I'd honestly get OEM stuff for a car of this nature (new and already nearly top spec) especially if your probably gonna sell in 10-12 months again
I think you should get a gt3 next year fuck the RR sport thing as you clearly enjoy driving more than posing

Driving more than posing? I don't know.. But the business is more important than a car at the moment, if I do really well I'll buy a Gallardo next year And I think your right, OEM is probably the way to go. Just need to source all the gear and I'm never patient!

Lad I went to school with who lives local has got an Gallardo spider in grey (like clarksons I think).
His dads got a big alarm manufacturing company and other businesses. Saw him getting out of it by shop other day lucky fucker he dropped out of school at 15 also
They are one of my favourite cars. Be on the list if I was minted anyway

Wouldn't be surprised! Does that mean I'm cool because my Transit has 'Gallardo style' doors? best thing is, it didn't even cost me any money!!

mate,
seen your post in help zone about the sat nav....
I do not like the BMW set up on the e46 and for 1k you could get better
BUT
dont get a flip out screen, get a double sin and get a proper BMW case adapted to hold it so it looks stock (loads on the BMW sites have done this...)
You get a LOT more for your moeny, can even buy double din PCs now, fully touch screen, internet, 120GB hard disks, wifi and so on....
that would be the only way forward for me, ditch BMW sat nav totally
I will try find some projects.....

I wouldnt rush into buying something that your not 100% happy with
I know its not easy playing the waiting game with cash burning a hole in your pocket but its worth it in the end
