Diesel price sticks in my throat, probably moreso than somebody with a petrol but how do they get away with pricing it higher than petrol

I paid 103.9p/litre for standard unleaded the other day.

I try to put a positive spin on it, and see it as more Nectar points

It's nothing to do with what it costs, if fuel cost that much to produce thats fine, its the fact it costs about 3p per litre and we get a quid tax stuck on that.

Diesel costs less to refine fss and they charge more per litre.

Thats because if you have a diesel, you wont buy as much.

Petrol Prices are a disgrace. Anybody that trys to feed me that TRIPE about "not paying it if you don't like it" can bugger-off too.

Our Neighbouring countries and USA don't pay such high fuel tax.

if you don't like it don't pay for it tbh

it is true though, you don't need your car to survive, it's just a luxury other people who don't have one.

i'd rather pay high prices for petrol then cycle to work when it's cold as hell this time of year

How do you get a full heating kit a bathroom, and half a ton of tools to a house 20 miles away to make a living?

drive, but thats when you should start moaning about petrol prices, unless you are covered for travelling expenses.

It stinks. The only reason people are paying it Ben is cos they HAVE to! Not out of choice Not having a car is not an option to most people myself included! But it doesn't mean we should be ripped off for the privelege!

not everyone needs it. plenty of public transport about, given the fact it's shit, still get's you there.

what about all the school mums picking there kids up after school? they don't need their cars. they just use it because it's easier than walking.

this is precisly why fuel protests dont work here, if we were like the french and everyone said you know what fuck it ive no fuel and cant get any cause theres a strike on I cant get to work so il have a day off and stick my feet up

maybe the protests would work, the country would stop
