As said i would rather have a near enough new/ low mileage engine then an old LET, im not putting down the engine in anyway this engine is much less likely to give any problems for atleast 50k miles
plus you wouldnt have to invest so much in trying to get your car setup for handling due to the lighter weight of the engine.
in more day to day thinking im sure this will be alot easier when it comes to changing parts when they do break such as starters/ alternators etc

no difference as soon as you make any respectable power all the parts will be changed for aftermarket anyway

I wont be using standard management, converting it over to DTA, will be replacing the FBW throttle body with a large manually operated throttle body.
The engine is installed with the F15 to ensure the engine is mounted in the correct place whilst i do the engine mount, once this is done i will be removing the F15 and refitting the M32 and making the gearbox mounts for that.

it think it would be cheaper to build a let nova in standard form but i think as a project this has more potential than a let nova or corsa, i have some very interesting plans for the car which will be shown shortly! I hoping to have it compeled by end of march if all goes to plan and i don.t run out of funds before then.

Finally got some more done on the nova, completed the engine mount on the drivers side which has included some strengthening to the inner wing.

Next job is to remove the F15 gearbox and fit the M32 6 speed then fabricate the 2 gearbox mounts.
Progress can also be followed here on my own forum

doesn't matter either way - it's going on standaone management, so that wont affect it

Chris, when you say you're using the F15 to mount it correctly, but then changing to the M32 gearbox, are you saying they are the same fitment, ie. bellhousing matches?
I know you can't fit big block gearboxes such as F16, F20 and F28 to the smallblock XE's like X16XE etc, but is it possible to fit the M32 to one?

All bellhousing patterns are the same with vauxhall. You can also use big block gearboxes on small block engines, i have put many quaife F20 Quaife boxes into Nova's and corsa's running 1.6 16v engines with big bhp.

yea, same as you can fit an f13 or f15 to a valver, if you use different flywheel and clutch

This F13 n F15 gearboxes fitted to a c20xe doesn't work, believe me!! Myself and sparke tried it bk in our early days of conversions.. Changing the clutch and flywheel doesn't make an ounce of difference, because the imput shaft is slightly smaller and has less splines to the f16 and f20 gearboxes.. This is why its better to use the f16 or f20 box and buy some mk2 cavvy inner cv joints so you can use your standard 22spline drive shafts.. If it was possible all the f13 n f15 gearboxes would just smash themselves to bits because they weren't designed to handle the power of a c20xe..
