Nobody had even given a reason as to why they didn't like them before you said this
I also hate Arctic Monkeys. But personal preference.
I can only recommend one album that hasn't already been stated:
30 Seconds To Mars - A Beautiful Lie

I am a lazy music fan, I sort of listen to music in passing and tend to like singles by bands rather than bands. Very rarely listen to a full album unless someone tells me I should or I really feel the need to. I like the enemy (bit dodgy ott accents though) and the hoosiers are quite easy to listen to also not to serious which pisses me off.
By a mile favourite is the pigeon detectives

Dont have a top 5 but would definately put
kings of leon: because of the times
angels & airwaves: i empire
maximo park: our earthly pleasures
mind has gone blank as to whats come out this year, heard a couple of tracks off thom yorkes album that sounds ace!
in refrence to the artic monkeys they are extremely overatted, selling figures dont mean a band is good just mass market appeal. I however think they a quite good. Love that song certain romance i think its called!
