Micorosoft don't care who wins, this in no way at all affects the xbox, they can just make a blu-ray drive that plugs into it.
Microsoft want an online content model not media.
Steve there will be multiple posts from you saying how blu-ray is shit and specifically how the extra space on blu-ray doesn't mean anything.
You have backtracked every single point you have ever made about it except your love for the 360.

i think Blu-ray sounds ace, much better than HD DVD!
ENd of the day HD DVD does not allow Porn on its format, there fore BR (see it sounds good in short form too) was allways going to win!
a) BR is technically no better than HD as both format have been made to hold equally as much.
b) the hd codec is said to actually produce better results than BR according to some movie experts
c) porn has always been allowed on HD infact it was BR that started by saying no porn, although they went back on this when they saw sense.
Got anything regarding codecs used on HD-DVD? As everything i've read shows that there is no difference between codecs used on both formats
The only thing HD-DVD has going for it, is the fact that it's cheaper to manufacture as it uses the same (or similar) manufacture process as DVDs. Other than that, HD DVD is actually inferior - Blue ray is capable of storing more data, quicker access times (+write times), dynamic menu structure (using JVM) etc.

hardly? have they crashed? are they filing for bankruptcy? or are they planning on releasing a blu-ray drive..
robbo, i thought you were wise, turns out, your just a slow calculator.. or a fast abacus
What the fuck?
No, microsoft aren't filing for bankruptcy (lets be honest, it's no brainer that the company has enough cash) but the fact remains that them backing the suppose "failed" format is going to make a dent, especially with manafacture costs of creating the original HD drive and now the extra costs of them creating an external Blue-Ray drive. And i also wouldn't assume that the reason for there falling stock (down 3.2%) was because of there bid for the Norwegian search engine

they had the extra manfacaturing costs of producing an external drive, wheres as sony didn't. Microsoft have now got to produce another external drive. Im sure it didn't make much of a dent but a dent eitherway.
