you're nearly a second and a half behind to 60, lower top end, and less power, whilst driving a diesel i understand mid range is a lot better, not enough to say bye bye to a 197, my guess is he wasnt trying at the time, or you caught him off guard, or it wasnt actually a 197

was a 197 as they are a lot wider than a standard clio, my car is 7.6 to 60 book, clio is 6.9, and it was the naughty side of 70mph that i floored it anyway, 137 topend as well rather than 134 for clio??, mine is 160bhp standard not sure which engine your looking at

the 160bhp one, comes up as 7.9 to 60, either way its still slower lol
in the right gear it might even out a bit, but you'd need a hell of a lot more advantage to pull away enough to say bye bye

It's not because you've got a modified car, and it's not limited to boy racers. It's because a lot of people on the road are inconsiderate tossers who deserve to lose their license before they kill someone.

I always find the same problem with lads on mopeds, you're just happily cruising along at 30 and they see the need to "scream" past you at a massive 35mph!

I love the way people are saying how they hate "Boy Racers" - and then describing how they humiliate them by either brake checking, or speeding away from them- you are just as bad as they are imo.
Personally I dont think you should let someone elses driving effect the way you yourself drive. If the road conditions are safe and I know the road then I freely admit that I speed, but if the conditions are not great then I wont.
I never brake check anyone - mainly because my brakes are better than most cars so I dont trust them to stop. I also dont think im the hardest person in the world, and I dont carry a weapon in my car like lots of people seem to - so I dont really want someone coming out there car at me when we stop at the next junction.
My advice if someone is in your bumber is to drive 2 or 3 mph over the speed limit so they cant moan and just let them past at some point

omg when youve got 400bhp more than the other car your racing then come back an tell me you left it for dead. Until then all you will do if anything is crawl away from them at 2 mph if that.

If ive got someone up my arse (no homo) i just slow it right down to 20, if its night, wack the rear fog light on, and just keep it like that.
Untill they overtake, which is when (depending on the car) i speed up, and do exactly the same to them for a min or 2
They just piss me off, there is no point in it at all

I had an elderly man (80ish) tailgate me and then try and overtake me the other day in a brand new golf GTI. I proceded to slam the brakes on. Poor fella almost had a heart attack and when i pull over into the shops he followed and told me off. I gave him what for and he went on his way
