No it was a certain number of Prem wins with him in the team = another large payment. So this last win made that number.

And winning the CL probably added another amount to it aswell to make it upto the £3m Tom mentioned.

He isnt far wrong, but if rumours are true then a lot of people will be leaving too so wont exactly have the depth still.

I'd love to see people leave and see Chelsea slip to 4th, even if it means you start finishing 3rd

That story doesnt include the bonuses if you win a certain amount of titles in that time - which is what the £2m was that you had to pay out this time.

If Man Utd, Liverpool or Arsenal where splashing the cash you lot would be loving it! If it were your team you wouldn't say you didn't want the players!

No, I occasionally wish we would buy some more experience instead of youngsters all the time and a big name is nice BUT I don't want us spending £20m on a Michael Carrick or £30m on a Robinho... its a fkn nonsense!

Why is it tho?? Thats the way football is these days due to the massive money involved. Chelsea fans love it obviously and other fans don't due to mostly envy.

I mean fans moan about it but if their club was spending it then they wouldn't. Who's won what?? I'm not a chelsea fan by the way, I'm just not a biased football fan either which some people on here seem to be!!

Being successful and earning your millions, be it by winning trophies, progressing in competitions or sponsorship money, its completley differant to a team having an owner who happens to have £8 billion in the bank.

I don't have to like Liverpool and Arsneal to respect they got their money though being successful clubs.

But they had won league titles, European titles and domestic cups before they came along. I'd expect success from now on and you could argue its the new injection of money or partly due to the success they've already built.

What had Chelsea done before Roman?? Carling Cup, FA Cup and a Cup Winners Cup.

No Premier League titles and certainly no CL finals.

They will have done buts thats money that has been earnt by the clubs establishing themselves.

Chelsea have become a huge club because of their new bank balance, not because of money that the club has earnt.

2 back to back league titles, it was all United and Arsenal, and to an extent Liverpool before then.

I agree with what your saying and my comments about fans being jealous weren't aimed at you guys. If Roman had bought Utd, Utd fans wouldn't be moaning about RObinho or Kaka coming to Old trafford!
