Think I might have found the car responsible, cctv was poor quality but showed an Estate car with a luggage rack parked next to me, you see it pull out & leave, a further camera shows a maroon VW Passat leave the car park 20 seconds later.
I had a wander round the car park & found said car, it has a scuff on the front driver side of the bumper at the exact level mine was damaged.
Took some pics, got the Reg No & went to the police, reported it to them & they said they will investigate & get back to me, if its proved to be him he'll get charged with hit & run.
Fingers crossed

If the police do nothing, there is a form you can use to gain information on an owner of a vechile with the reg no and crime ref no. I'll dig it out for you

But they hit his car, and didn't stop. Whats the difference between a hit and run and leaving the scene?

I thought that aswell, but thats what the woman at the police station said. She's possibly got it wrong.

The police said to give the incident number to my insurer & they should sort it.
Though I was thinking of waiting to hear the outcome from them.
I dont want to contact my insurance really, I dont want it to count against me in any way & possibly affect me as a claim or loss of ncb

Aye, silly women
Jade - IIRC hit and run is a living thing, leaving the scene of an accident is a material object
I may of course be wrong but hit and run is always assoicated with running people/animals over etc etc

I thought that too, probably means failing to report an accident.

If it was across a small area I would tend to accept this, however the damage extends over a foot & half along the side of my car. They must have heard/felt something. Just an arsehole that doesnt care imo!!
