I usually like morettes though, must be the rust on the bonnet thats putting me off, looks like an alien

2 Rack ends ive snapped on this car now, first time i snapped one i replaced the whole rack which was a bellache. I read in the manual that at the time of printing, rack ends were not renewable, or something similar.

Been refurbing a office at FAI Automotive, so thought i'd see how much a new rack was.They dont do them, but the chap showed me that the rack ends were replaceable and they had them in stock!! So i got 2 just incase the fuck the other side up. Cheap as chips too.




Also made and welded my brackets for the cage!

Car had been struggling for the last week, lack of power and a rattle from the head.
Stripped it apart today to find 4 exhaust valves very slightly bent at the collet end. which i suppose would explain the rattle and lack of power.

also when i fitted the inlet 3 years ago, i used coke can to blank of the old tb location. Which had blown lol. going to make up a steel plate for that, and will do a steel one for the egr valve too.

Head of ready to be strip. will be re-painting the inlet while its of. what colour though??
