quick pic (from phone) of the smooth grab handle. no need for the lock mechanism because im using the pins, but still want to keep the handle to break the back up. still a fair bit of sanding to go but you get the idea.

and the Nova got a little visitor. My girlfriend has never sat in it in the 3 years ive had it and hasnt even seen it for a year. so they got aquainted...

Eck / Nick - I do quite fancy a set of carbs, thought about that before, no idea what to go for and what id need so i'll need to do some research. would be worth it for the noise alone!

couldnt sell it without finishing it - had it too long now.

cheers jules!

Carbs it is then. i'll look into that in the new year. pretty busy with the bodywork, getting it ready to be painted in February.

didnt manage a whole lot at the weekend, just finished up the smooth grab handle:

bumper is only sitting there so ignore any dodgy gaps. and, as always, its covered in dust!

with a car that looks this great, and with the wheels and brakes etc...it defo needs the noise. And that means only one thing CAN be done to it...

...CARBS!!

Looks absolutely great tho mike, you've got a lovely example there!

cheers for the comments so far.

crap update below:

after lots of messing around, and a right pain in the arse, i now have two seats in and doors bars that dont foul them:

got some of the carbon panels back on, fo good this time now the cage is in.

some more annodised washers / bolts

painted boot floor - not an awesome finish like the rear bench / wheel wells, but its getting totally hidden by the false floor anyway.

/\ cheers mate, not quite ready for that just yet, but if youve still got it when i get round to carbs thenill give you shout!

Quick update, after getting the boot floor / wheel well painted last week i gave my box frame a coat of black:

cleaned up my 15" spare

Half floor:

Full floor:

Done!

new gaiter, trimmed the bottom lip off it as it looked a bit wierd - obviously thats meant to sit under the consol

view from the front of the car looking back (how dusty is that bench??) - ive put a corsa c door moulding on the front of the frame to finish it off - looks better than painted wood

general interior shot now its 95% complete

fitted a wee oil cath tank, temporarily - dont really want it there, just wanted to see what it looked like mounted. will be relocated once i get carbs on it.
