The sound of turbo flutter is worth slightly shortening the life of your turbo IMO

I used to love dump valves, but pigeon flutter is just sexy

Bosch KE-Jetronic, mechanical, but with an ECU.

So like K jetronic in the old dubs where injectors are spraying constantly and there is a vane that opens with air flow that determins fuel delivery?
That but ECU controled?

Mine does it but only in high gear at lowish revs coming off the throttle. DV takes care of it at other times.

if your running standard boost IE around half a bar then its unlikely to drastically harm the turbo although it proabably will shorten the life of it.

however running high boost and having no dump valve is not a good idea

Mine chatters very loud...from cold even and when it's warm it's awsome.

Combination of the FMIC..the Ind kit and the location of the DV

The injectors aren't spraying contiuously. If they were the engine would flood and die.

The injectors are operated by fuel pressure. The fuel pressure to each injector is timed/controlled by a metering unit and distributor head.

To a point, yes. It does have it's limits though, and if it's not looked after and set up regularly, it can be crap. We get them through the door daily which need setting up, the EFI converted ones don't come back every 6 months and they make more power with the same mods.

Had problem with flutter on my astra gsi, sounds fucking gash if you ask me. It also made it slower due to the compresser stall.

If you do this on purpose to your car, i sugest selling your car to someone who deserves a turbo car and then buying an electronic flutter dump valve for your new non turbo car

One of them things really, worth the chatter when at shows or meets etc..., everday use, leave the dump valve working. isnt good for pressure to go back through the turbo, but cant see any major effects from temporary chatter- whens needed lol!

Just a bit But the spool up is immense! Mates got a vid on his phone will try and get it over the weekend.

Iain, they have been known to flutter but only when the standard recirc valve is F'd, and as people have said its not good for the turbo, but do agree it sounds ace!

Mine's been on the car since 1989 and still works lovely

It still starts on the button.

It still drives smoothly and returns about 27 to the gallon when not driven like the proverbial c*nt.

It still assists the car in sounding like a Harrier on take-off when it IS driven like the proverbial and has only ever been trounced by the 600 bhp A1 Escort Cosworth and a 3 cylinder diesel Lupo.
